The Doty Method is a Creation of George Doty.  At the Age of 55 he decided that he wanted to learn to play the Guitar, but when he would look on YouTube for lessons he just wasn't finding anything that was working for him, his brother Larry had been playing for over 40 years so we put our heads together and he came up with the horizontal orientation of the chord diagrams and color-coding for the fingers to make it easier for him to transfer the chord shapes to the guitar.  Since Larry lived over 300 miles away we started making videos and putting them on YouTube @ https://www.youtube.com/c/LearnGuitar  So that George could learn.  It started catching on and we are currently at over 800 subscribers with only 33 videos helping others learn as well.
